Slightly melancholy end of term feeling, packing up at Asthall after a really memorable exhibition. Mother Nature played her part and people came in droves to admire and to buy. It was a success overall and for me too with four out of seven sculptures of mine, sold. Now it’s off to Marble for the next round of carving!
All over.
“Sailing Before the Wind”
I wish it were as easy as sailing before the wind. Even after my tutorial today I haven’t quite cracked managing my new website and got 99% of the way on putting up the 2014 gallery only to find I can’t make it visible. Double drat!
Exciting prospects.
With just a few weeks to go until I head off to Colorado, I have started a dialogue with Myles about stone and to my great joy, he says he has two really good and quite large pieces of fluorite for me, yay!
I will also have some more honeycomb calcite and a new very crystalline orange alabaster.
I am already dreaming about the shapes!
New Directions
Even though I was distinctly underwhelmed when I set up for Parallax, I was subsequently delighted to be spotted by Elena Shchukina.
The happy outcome is that from November 21st I will be showing at the Gallery Elena Shchukina in Mayfair!
Three more days
There are only three days left in this session of marble/Marble and it’s another great day.
I have been told that if I blog here, I can share it on Facebook where I have been keeping an account of my work here this summer, so this is a test shot… here goes.
